Building/Zoning Permits
A building (zoning) permit is required for most construction performed, both commercial and residential. Zoning permits can be picked up in the Planning & Codes office or downloaded from our Applications & Permits page. Some construction requires our third party agency, Building Inspection Underwriters (BIU) to perform the inspections. BIU requires their own permit applications which can be found on their website at BIU PA.
All permit applications must be submitted with plans for the project.
Inspections
Residential construction permits require inspections.
Fees/Payments
We only accept cash, check or money order (made payable to Castle Shannon Borough).
