Pavilion Rentals

2027 Rental Applications will be accepted beginning Wednesday, November 4th, 2026. Rental Applications will be accepted in person at the municipal center beginning at 8:30am on a first-come-first-served basis.

Pavilion Rentals are for Saturdays and Sundays only – weekdays are reserved for field use. 

If you are looking for a June or July rental, please have multiple dates to choose from – your preferred date may be booked as these are the most wanted rental times. 

Required documents for a rental include:

1. A filled out and signed Park Pavilion Rental Form. Please see the “Rental Documents” section on this page for a copy. Copies are also available at the Municipal Center.

2. A copy of the homeowner or renter insurance of the person booking.

3. Payment in full by check, cash, or money order only. We do not accept credit cards at this time.

Documents may be emailed to csboro@csboro.org, but bookings will not be final until payment is received. We will not “pencil in” or hold dates. You must turn in all documents and payment to confirm your rental.

If any of these requirements are missing, your booking will not be finalized. 

Rental fees for pavilion and field use can be found in the Fee Schedule. The pavilion rental fee for Residents of Castle Shannon is $150.00, Non-Resident $250.00

• The park pavilion rental season runs from the first weekend in June through the last weekend in October, Saturdays and Sundays only.
• Hamilton Park has two pavilions (upper and lower) with restrooms, complete kitchens along with barbecue grills. Each kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and hot and cold water.
• Riehl Park has a covered pavilion and kitchen facilities, along with restrooms and separate soccer and T-Ball fields.
• The municipal center has one small meeting room for community group use.
• A $50 penalty will be enacted for pavilion rental cancellations less than 30 days before the rental date.

Field Rentals

Castle Shannon Borough will begin utilizing an online booking program for fields starting with the Spring 2026 season. Fields are booked on a first come, first served basis. Please contact us at csboro@csboro.org or 412-885-9200×100 if you have questions about this process.

Booking Periods

• Spring/Early Summer
  • CSYA: February 1st-February 7th
  • KOU: February 8th-February 14th
  • PUBLIC: February 15th-February 28th
• Late Summer/Fall
  • CSYA: June 8th-June 14th
  • KOU: June 1st-June 7th
  • PUBLIC: June 15th-June 30th

***If period dates fall on a weekend, the Friday prior to the date lsited will be used***

Field Rental Fees can be found in the Fee Schedule.

Please note that there is a mandatory half hour buffer time between sessions built into the online booking program. For example, if one session ends at 5:00pm, the next session cannot be booked to start until 5:30pm. A session is 2 hours and must be booked and paid for 2 hours, even if the full time is not used. 

Available fields include:

• Mastandrea Field at Hamilton Park
• Riehl Baseball Field at Riehl Park (daylight hours only – no field lighting)
• Riehl Soccer Field at Riehl Park (daylight hours only – no field lighting)
• O’Brien Field (daylight hours only – no field lighting)

The Castle Shannon Youth Association (CSYA) has full and only use of the Municipal Center field.

Field Public Use Nights

Each field will be restricted from private rentals or other team use one night a week, during the 6:00pm-10:00pm timeslots, to ensure residents have access to the fields, known as Public Use Nights. The Public Use Nights schedule is as follows.

• Municipal Field – Mondays
• Reihl Complex – Wednesdays
• O’Brien Field – Fridays
• Mastandrea Field – Saturdays/Sundays*

*During the pavilion rental season, June through October, pavilion rentals are permitted to rent the field for private use provided that the pavilion renter books each timeslot needed for field access. Any timeslots left vacant during a pavilion rental by the pavilion renter will remain open and the public is welcome to use the field.

Please note: O’Brien Field is only available to rent for daylight hours – there are no field lights..
